One of the most aggressive growing mushrooms, Pleurotus Ostreatus meaning "sideways oyster" is a very nutritional and eco-friendly species. It is commonly found in the wild and can be grown on a wide variety of substrates (including certain plastics!)
This legendary mushroom of fall, Hen of the Woods, Grifola Frondosa, is our favorite. In the wild, they often come out in October and can grow to over 20lbs! Saute the strands in butter for instant Grifolification.
